Ageotec will attend the Oceanology International Fair in London, Excel, from 13 to 15 March 2012.
In this occasion, Ageotec will exhibit its own products, including its latest underwater vehicle, the “ROV PERSEO GTV” an upgrade of the existing PERSEO GT with added payload capabilities and thrust. This high-quality MultiPurpose class ROV features standard operating depths of 600 mt free-fly and 1500 mt with TMS, which can be extended upon request. Capable of accepting up to 40 Kg payload, with a forward thrust of 70 Kg yielding maximum speed up to 3.5 knots and a net weight of 160 Kg in air.
The PERSEO GTV offers an optimum balance between ease of handling and the possibility of performing various light work tasks making it suitable for use even in the most challenging applications in adverse environments. Up to 4 real-time video channels can be fed through its wideband, single-mode fibre optic umbilical cable. Auto functions are available on depth, heading and altitude. Optional instrumentation includes MBES, USBL, pipe/cable tracker, custom tool skid with 5-function hydraulic manipulator, water jet, and more.

(3-Feb-2012) QPS has released a 3D reconstruction of Costa Concordia route, obtained by means of QPS software tools (such as QINSy, Fledermaus), by merging bathymetric data and AIS data over the last few minutes of navigation as the ship grounded at Giglio Island. The following links are available:

Our Company's involvement aims at providing technical assistance during operations with ROV Perseo, owned by Fire Department divers team operating on site. (19-Jan-2012) Costa Concordia: one of Ageotec's Perseo ROV is currently being employed intensively during rescue operations after the cruise ship grounding near Giglio Island. The vehicle, equipped with a 5-function manipulator, is part of the equipment used by several divers groups belonging to the national Fire Department (SMZT/VVF).
