Orion INS, Inertial Navigation System, has been specifically designed for the demanding hydrographic survey, offshore construction and ROV operations markets.

Orion incorporates three single axis ring laser elements and three highly accurate accelerometers. These specific components, widely used in many of the world’s commercial aircraft, were chosen for Orion because of availability, accuracy and their very high meantime between failures.

Is configured and controlled by the latest easy-to-use interface – OrionView. Features:

MAHRS is a master heading reference instrument employing the characteristics of a dynamically tuned gyro (DTG), the effect of gravity and the earth’s rotation to produce exceptional heading performance. This is combined with a Dynamic Motion Sensor (DMS) to provide accurate heave, roll and pitch.

The DMS (Dynamic Motion Sensors) range of motion sensors is designed specifically for the motion measurement needs of the marine industry. The DMS provides accurate motion measurement in all sea conditions.

Incorporating an enhanced external velocity and heading aiding algorithm for improved accuracy during dynamic maneuvers, the solid state angular rate sensors offer reliability in the highest performing vertical reference units ever produced by TSS.

The Meridian Subsea uses a Dynamically Tuned Gyro (DTG) element, which provides exceptional performance and accuracy and removes the need for routine maintenance, significantly reducing cost of ownership.

The high accuracy heading output can be maintained for turn rates in excess of 200° per second making the system ideal for operation in even the most hostile subsea environments.
